A History of Service
Cecil McCord started working in the garage door industry in high school; painting doors and sweeping the shop. He went on to found B次元 in 1979. For the first three years, McCord was the 鈥淐ecil-of-All Trades,鈥 changing clothes鈥攁nd vehicles鈥攕everal times a day, from service to sales all the while answering the phone and attending meetings. He did it all in the early years, refusing to draw a salary so the company could grow.

Company Growth
Grow it did. In 1985, B次元 moved to its current location, bringing with it, a tradition of quality and service. The company鈥檚 physical growth mirrored employee growth and expanded offerings.
02
Locally Owned
Always locally owned and operated, B次元 has adapted to changing needs by following consumer trends. In the late 70s and early 80s as the fast food generation embraced immediate gratification, so did B次元.
03
Respecting the Customer
Central to Garage Doors Of Indianapolis鈥檚 service: 鈥渞espect for the customer.鈥 When on a call, technicians sweep the garage floor when finished. Service calls are a kept at a set fee rather than an hourly rate and emergency service is available 24 hours a day.
04
A Word from Owner
As McCord says, 鈥淧eople don鈥檛 think about garage doors until there is a problem. When there is a problem, they want it fixed immediately鈥攖hey want out of their garage.鈥
Company History
Careful attention is given to each and every customer. Recent restructuring ensures that the needs of all customers will be met to the highest satisfaction by establishing separate VPs that preside over the residential, commercial and contractor areas so specific and meticulous detail can be given to each area.
With more responsibility delegated to the vice presidents, McCord is looking forward to going out on service calls with service techs and installers from time to time, so don鈥檛 be surprised to see him if he comes to your door.
In today鈥檚 technologically advanced times, the web has come to the forefront of service. With online parts ordering already in place, McCord anticipates the day that consumers who choose to book their service calls online will be able to do so鈥攕o in that spare 10 minutes a customer might have at 11:30 p.m. they could book a call for the next day and check another item off the list.
You can鈥檛 talk about B次元 and service without mentioning corporate philanthropy. Service means something special to the B次元 staff. Longtime supporters of the Nicaraguan Resource Network administered through Northview Church in Carmel, Ind., the company has given money to support orphaned and needy children of Nicaragua.
Furthermore, employees have had the opportunity to travel for mission work through NRN at the company鈥檚 expense and on company time.
In 2003, B次元 proudly adopted Riley Hospital for Children through the 鈥淲ENS Radiothon for Riley鈥 as a way to support the special hospital that does such amazing things for our littlest friends and neighbors.
As a company committed to providing the highest level of service to our customers, it only makes sense that we commit ourselves to another institution that takes such good care of their littlest customers. A percentage of all B次元 sales will go to Riley Hospital.
Garage Doors Of Indianapolis offers excellent value to homeowners by providing a wide selection of brands, quality, colors and design of windows and doors to meet each individual鈥檚 needs.
